Hot Hairstyles in Five Minutes or Less!

Nice hairstyleWe all go through it. From the yucky super-humid days when nothing we do with our hair will possibly look right to the rainy Mondays when we just don’t care, to the eve of our hot date when we go through eight hairstyles before opting to just let the hair run wild, sometimes a “bad hair day” can very easily become a “bad hair week” without fair warning. The weather may be rainy and humid all week long, the hairstylist may have chopped our locks entirely the wrong way, but despite our dismay, life does go on.

Check out the scenarios below for a quick fix on unruly hair, flat hair, whatever hair.

Scenario #1 – Business Boo-Boo Fixer Upper

It’s not even 8:30 in the morning and things couldn’t be much worse. You slept through your alarm and you’ve got a major business presentation in 35 minutes. After taking the fastest shower of your life, you’ve got five minutes to throw on your makeup and do something with your wet hair. Think fast!

Remembering back to your childhood days, think about what your mother used to do for you when you needed to look nice for school. Be it picture day or another special occasion, chances are you’ve got a special hair trick up your sleeve that you’ve completely forgotten! Mine happens to be your plain old run of the mill braid. Separate your hair into three sections, alternately pulling one over the other until you’ve created an attractive plait in no time! For a special feminine touch, leave out a tiny strand of hair at your crown, near your ear or at the nape of your neck. (To save time, turn your curling iron on prior to braiding your hair.) Create a loose curl here or there to add an elegant element to your professional-looking style.

Scenario #2 – Last-Minute Lovely Locks

Whether it’s a first date with a new hottie or a special occasion with your long-term beau, looking like the gorgeous bombshell you are is nonnegotiable! But looking fabulous doesn’t have to take an eternity… Rely on a few quick and easy hair care tips to get you going.

For a seductive look, rely on a daring hairstyle that nicely displays a bare neck. Invite sweet kisses on your soft skin by sweeping your hair up into a makeshift French twist with a set of ornate chopsticks or a delicate, pretty hairpin. Even if your hair is still wet, it should be responsive to these facile styles. And while wearing hair up can be completely tantalizing, setting free your flowing locks might just ignite some wild desire in your date. Tame your tresses with a gentle anti-frizz product that won’t sticky your hair or leave a visible residue.
For naturally curly babes, rub some gel or a small amount of styling product between your hands and scrunch your curls into submission.

Scenario #3 – Tiresome Tresses Crave Revitalization

Sick of the same old ponytail? Tired of – yawn – everlasting straight hair? Mix things up a bit by adding some fancy accents to your inventory! Invest in some colorful hair scarves, headbands, crab claw clips, hairpins, chopsticks and other fun hair accessories. You can get a nice selection of hair goodies at the dollar store, grocery store, drugstore and countless other venues.

By spending only $10 or $15, you can completely revamp your hair without going to any great coloring or styling lengths. Pick out a few neat items and use them from time to time instead of battling your hair into submission with styling products and appliances. Don’t have time to blow dry your mane? Fret not! Merely twist your hair up and clip it to your head with one of your new fashion accessories! When all else fails, get comfy. Throw on a pair of jeans, your favorite hooded sweatshirt and a hat!

Manageable Hair:

Sleek and sexy hairstyles don’t have to take hours to create. If you are comfortable working with your hair, you can design beautiful new styles for yourself in just minutes. Once you know how your hair responds to heat, humidity, rain, styling products and other factors, you can quickly and easily style your hair for any occasion. Try starting out on the right foot.  For blow drying styles use Thermal Style first to get a hold of it.Even if you don’t know what to expect from your hair, try these unbeatable tips for a quick fix or a lasting style!
Accessorize! On days when you just don’t have time, go for a ponytail or a headband. Realize that your hair can look really cute even if you don’t spend a long time styling it.
Experiment with color. If you find yourself constantly bored with your hair, a new color might be all you need to add some zest to your appearance. Still a little wary of dying your hair? Try a brand that washes out in eight shampoos.
Opt for a new haircut. Colors and accessories do lend a lot to a hairstyle; however, haircuts are the true standby for a new look.
Select styling tools to vary your look. Curling irons, flatirons, combs, pins, clips and an assortment of brushes offer nice diversity for hairstyles.
If all else fails, wear it straight. If you don’t feel like fighting with your hair today, wear it down. For hair that behaves rather well, consider letting your hair dry naturally. If your hair requires more maintenance, apply a gentle styling product to prevent frizzy hair. Remember, a sexy, straight hairstyle can be perfect with any outfit, for any occasion.

Here are 10 tips to help you and your flat iron work side-by-side without damaging your hair:

1. Keep your flat iron clean. It will last longer and do less damage to your hair.
2. Use a styling aid to prevent frizz before you blow dry. Straight Fusion to seal the ends of your hair locking  out  friziness.
3. Practice before you head out to any major event. It's very easy to use once you get the knack of it.
4. When using the iron on your hair, on the section you are using first, before running the iron through it. 5. Try avoiding using any products until you finish straightening out your hair.
6. Use small sections. The smaller the section the flatter and more weightless your hair will be.
7. Use even pressure while stroking your flat iron from the root to the end without stopping on any part of the sectioned hair.
8. Use  any of our ionic ceramic thermal brushes to blow dry wet hair into the desired shape.

Quick Fixes For Your Hair:

Five minute and five second quick fixes for hair Did you ever have one of those days when you really just didn’t feel like doing anything with your hair? Ponytails live for these days! But even though they may be the quickest, easiest and most common fix for hairstyle fatigue, a few new accessories in your arsenal could really give your hairdo a lift!  But when it comes to facile fashion, are you clued in?
Five seconds… For the least maintenance possible, you can always toss your tresses back into a ponytail with an elastic band, a rubber band, a scrunchie or other hair ties. Just as quickly and just as easily, you can also introduce a new look with a headband! Once you brush your hair straight or work with your curls, you can gently slide a headband on for a new look. Another quick fix works especially well when you don’t have the time to dry your hair. A decorative hairpin that is about three or four inches in length will work wonders for your hair. First squeeze any remaining water from your hair with a towel. Next, brush your hair flat against your head and pull it toward the nape of your neck, almost as if you’re trying to create a low ponytail. Now twist your hair tightly in the same direction and twirl it around into a mock bun. Finally, take the hairpin and stick it through your hair, making sure the style feels strong and securely fastened. While there seem to be a lot of instructions for this style, it truly only takes about 10 to 30 seconds to produce, depending on how well you like your first and second attempts. You can also replicate this style with a set of decorative chopsticks for hair.

    Five minutes…

If you’re planning a special night out – a date, a formal event or a girls’ night to a club or bar – you’ll probably care more about your hair than if you’re just going to the supermarket, the library or running some other errands. For a beautiful yet simple style, first twist your hair atop your head and secure it there with a claw clip. Using a curling iron, create gentle spiral curls with the lengths of hair that stick out from the clip. You might want to spray a little gel or hairspray to keep the style before letting your hair down. Once you have added a nice display of curls, remove the clip and let your hair fall as it may. You’ll have pretty waves and gentle curls dusting your shoulders and your back in no time! For best results use Hold It Ultra Hairspray.

If you know how to braid hair, you merely need to add your own creativity to produce a beautiful and unique hairstyle. For a retro look, part your hair directly down the center. If your hair is long enough in the front, make three “microbraids” on each side of your head, starting at your hairline, just outside the part. Once you’ve created the braids, pull them toward the back of your head and fasten them together with a small elastic band or a tiny barrette. If your hair is not long enough for this style, co braiding two pigtails down either side of your head for a youthful look.

If you see some accessories at the store that appeal to you, consider picking out a few to try at home. Hair scarves, claw clips, headbands, elastic bands, standard clip barrettes and hairpins are fairly easy to use and they look beautiful in a number of styles. Don’t be discouraged if you aren’t completely familiar with certain hair accessories or styles. The biggest part of designing a beautiful hairstyle is listening to your creative intuitions!

    9. Use a lightweight serum to smooth any frizz left over. Try Soft and Straight Gel you'll only need a little.

10. Let your iron cool; clean its surface with a cloth so you’ll be ready to use it again tomorrow.
